The latest update on Maamis, especially DM, is quite known to the world by now. DM is married (much to everybody's relief incl. Came across a different genre of Indian cinema after a long time! The movie left me bewildered (to see the intertwined lives of the 4 prime characters of different backgrounds) , troubled (not to have found a happy ending), guessing (about the way ahead for all the living characters) and moved (as I got involved in the movie to the extent to empathizing with the characters - Arun, Yasmin, Shie and Zohaib). The movie is definitely a visual treat - credit goes to the cinematographer. The breathtaking views of Mumbai, right from the shabby slums to the tallest buildings of the concrete jungle including Ganpati celebration and Monsoon, have been presented with an aesthetic touch. Though the movie proceeds at a slow pace, it turns interesting as it unfolds. A painter (Arun) getting inspiration from a common girl full of hope and desires (Yasmin), who finally loses her wish to live due to her unfaithful husband is a touching part of the story.
