Failure - As certain as death...
hey... i know i am quite irregular at blogging..but then somewhere one desperately needs to be irregular to break the monotony of life...
Well, I am slowly coming back to my normal self (the bindaas kinds wholistically but the restless kinds for trivial issues..). My councellor gave me a wonderful advise - don't try to control everything in your life. Sometimes you need to just let it go and let things happen in your life. Agreed, one needs to have an internal locus of control (now that I am familiar with the OB terms - one biggest advantage of doing an MBA, you get to use high flown jargons..) but then at some juncture, you seem to have lost control over the happenings in your life. The only solution is not to crib over what is happening but try to accept the reality and enjoy the awkwardness of the situation. It all depends on how you take it!! If your perspective of looking at things changes, all the difficult circumstances seem to look simple. Believe me...this is really strange. Sometimes, you feel your life will come to an end if you don't achieve a set goal and you will lag behind. But then later if you give it a thought, you laugh on your childish behaviour.
Today if i look back, I can find many such instances where good things happened in my life on their own, without enough of my contribution to them. So, why worry now if things don't happen my way inspite of my best efforts?! If I didn't complain when I got pleasent surprises that I didn't deserve (that's what I perceive..but I believe God had some other opinion) then why complain now. I don't think any one gets anything before the destined time. Let the right time come and things will work out in your favour. But that doesn't mean you sit idle and simply wait for that time to come (I wish life was so easy...). You have to give your best shot every time and just hope this is the right time. Truly, God helps those who help themselves.
There are a lot of cliches regarding Failure...The only thing I would say is that "it is as certain as death". There can be no person on this earth who hasn't faced failure in his/her lifetime in some form or the other. As they say, forget the incident but not the lesson. If you struggle to get the result, success would be much sweeter and memorable. This has been true in my case till now...I hope the trend doesn't change!
