Maamis in Dilli...

Time to update you about our Maamis. Much to the delight and relief of our Mumbaiya Maami, after a lot of hue and cry caused by her in the Mumbai office, she has finally succeeded in coming right back to her own ‘ilaaka’(territory) Delhi. As soon as she landed in Delhi on the 1st of July, not just the typical heat/humidity in the afternoon welcomed her, but all the memories associated with her life in Delhi started rushing back to her. This literally made her feel dizzy and faint (well it was more because she didn’t eat anything since morning). So after a refreshing break of 5 days, when she joined office, she found out that once again she was as lost as ever amidst a new set of hyperactive people. However, this junta was more active in displaying its elocutionary communication skills (which is quite a dominant characteristic in any sales man/woman) rather than professional ethics. Somewhere she was relieved to feel the same warmth in people around her, to which she was quite used to for all these years, instead of the cold and formal behaviour of the Mumbai junta. Howsoever be the workplace, all she was concerned about was being with her family. Getting back home on time to be greeted by her parents’ affection alongwith all comforts and security one can ever get was something she was longing for. When it comes to meeting friends, Dilli Maami (DM, the name has to change from Mumbaiya Maami) is trying her level best to keep in touch with all. Right now her only ideal TP activity is to go for a movie, however, she is usually left without a movie partner. Currently, The Great Groom Hunt is also on for her. Amidst all the horror-scope matching, discussions on basic parameters to be met with parents and the prevailing uncertainty in this huge gamble of life, DM awaits the impossible - falling in love.
Bangaluru Maami (BM) is floating in her transitory romantic world and every now and then, keeps trying to get out of it. Whatever it be, the Maami bond is intact. The Maami meet happened recently at The Pacific Mall and we had the privilege of enjoying the company of VP (our IMT friend) as well. We had great fun knowing about our respective strange encounters with interesting guys. Who says "2 is a company, 3 is a crowd"? Hope the triad would be intact in future...
