Life...
Exciting, boring, happy, depressing, content, fast, slow - you may associate all these words with it at different points in time. But it is what it is. Bigger and important than anything in this world. Life.
It is amazing how we keep planning for it ahead of time and how it unfolds itself gradually. Watched 'Boyhood' yesterday and loved it purely for the simplicity of the movie. It just plays out the life of a boy from the age of 4 to 25 years showing various different factors shaping his personality while he grows up. It depicts all the concerns and confusions we confront in our youth. And the funny thing is that these confusions never die within us. We just become less expressive about them as we age.
We are never really 100% sure about what we are doing and whether it is enough for us and everyone around us. The beauty lies in just going with the flow and keep looking for those life changing turning points. We just grow up to handle responsibilities as and when they crop up and also manage to stretch beyond our limits when its really required. And these are the situations that define us and make us evolve.
I sometimes wonder what would I be writing about when I am, say, 60! Guess, I would still be writing about my life, but definitely loaded with a lot more experiences to share. And definitely more satisfied with what I have and what I could do with my life and for my near and dear ones. It is not what you do for others matters. What matters is how you inspire others and enable/empower them to do something meaningful. So, if you work on yourself, everything else will be fine. Just work on realizing your own potential.
On a personal front, am still confused about what I exactly want to do professionally. Accumulation of resources for future projects is something really important and that is what I am involved in right now. Lets see how long I manage to do this. May be I will have to take a call some day. Am waiting for that turning point!
